With the publication of the second part on May 22, World War I aviation buffs can learn about the airmen who "made ace" in fighters—and in such unlikely vehicles as bombers, floatplanes and flying boats—in two entries in Osprey's "Aircraft of the Aces" series by Jon Guttman: No.97, Naval Aces of World War 1, Part 1, which deals with the Royal Naval Air Service, and No. 104, Naval Aces of World War 1, Part 2, which covers the rest: the German coastal patrol units and Marine Land Jastas, the Russians, the Austrians, the Italians, Greece's lone ace Aristeides Moraitinis, and the only U.S. Navy pilot to make ace, David S. Ingalls.
Also coming in November will be Jon Guttman's first entry in Osprey's new "Air Vanguard" series, dealing with the Sopwith Camel.
