Quentin Roosevelt

Greetings everyone. Quentin Roosevelt will be honored by the town of Chateau-Thierry, France in 2010 according to Chateau-Thierry mayor Jacques Krabal. The city will, according to Jeffrey Aarnio, Superintendent of the Oise-Aisne American Cemetery, "organize an air show for the 3rd and 4th of July with WWI vintage planes, music and a WWI exhibit on the participation of the French and Americans who fought in the area. Special focus will be on "1918 and the 2nd Battle of the Marne."

Furthermore, "At this stage of organizing such an event, the largest amount of support in such a short period of time is obviously desired. The U.S. Air Force will be invited to perform a flyover, along with military honor guard presence. Vintage planes will be brought in from the French airfield at La Ferte Alais in Cerny. There will be short videos and static displays."

More information about this Quentin Roosevelt commemorative event to be posted as we become aware of it.
