June 23/24, 2018 - Meaux, France: World War I Airshow commemorating the 100th anniversary of World War I. Includes a tribute to The Lafayette Escadrille and celebrates the arrival of the American Expeditionary Forces.

June 9-Oct. 21, 2018 - WWI airshows on most (all?) Saturdays at Old Rhinebeck, NY. I don't know which aircraft fly other than a Fokker Dr.I.

May 19/20, 2018 - Annual WWI/WWII airshow of the Amicale Jean-Baptiste Salis, Cerny, France (a bit south of Paris). Wonderful airshow and display of WWI and WWII aircraft including typically the Spad XIII, SE-5, Fokker triplanes, and more. Also WWII: Spitfire, Mustang, B-17, Ju-52. And newer too, including a Rafale fighter. Amicale Jean Baptiste Salis Airshow.

Sat. May 5, 2018 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM EDT, Wallingford, CT will honor Raoul Lufbery near the centennial of his death. A plaque will be unveiled, etc., in a formal ceremony at the Wallingford Historical Society. There will also be a parade and post ceremony reception.

Sunday, 11/12/17 @ 3:00-4:00 p.m. - "The Transformational Consequences of the Great War, 1914-33" Smyrna Library. 2017 is the centennial anniversary of America's entrance into "The Great War." William Marchione examines the consequences of World War I - the human and material damage, the Russian Revolution, the collapse of imperial dynasties, American isolationism, and the onset of the Great Depression.

June 3/4, 2017 - The fantastic Amicale Jean Baptiste Salis Airshow at the Champ d’Aviation de Cerny, south of Paris. I attended several years ago, and saw a number of beautiful World War I and World War II aircraft flying.

April 6, 2017 - Centennial Commemoration of the U.S. Entry into World War I ceremony by the United States World War One Centennial Commission at the National World War I Museum and Memorial, Kansas City, Missouri.

Oct. 1-2, 2016 - WWI Dawn Patrol Rendezvous at the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio

April 20, 2016 - 100th Anniversary of the Lafayette Escadrille's founding, at the Lafayette Escadrille Monument outside of Paris, France. The USAF’s combat legacy started 100 years ago with the Lafayette Escadrille, founded 4/16/1916. France remembers. Sadly, the USAF has forgotten its own history and legacy, and buried its history into that of the 94th Fighter Squadron (F-22s at Langley).
